Business Owners Policy (BOP): A Small-Business Review

A business owners policy may combine selected property and liability coverages for eligible businesses. It is not a universal package, and coverage details, endorsements, eligibility, and exclusions vary by insurer and form.

See what the package actually includes

Review the declarations and policy forms to identify included coverages, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and optional endorsements. Do not assume commercial auto, workers compensation, cyber coverage, or every business exposure is included in a BOP.

Check eligibility against your actual operations

Describe your products or services, locations, property values, revenue, payroll, and changes in business activity. A business that grows or adds a new operation may need a fresh review or a different structure.

Compare bundled value and trade-offs

Compare the package with separate or other available options, including price, limits, deductibles, and coverage differences. Bundling may be convenient; savings or eligibility are not guaranteed.
