Landlord Insurance for Arizona Rental Properties

A rental property has a different use and risk profile from an owner-occupied home. Before comparing coverage, describe the property, occupancy, lease arrangement, maintenance, and any periods when it may be vacant.

Describe the property and how it is rented

Provide the property address, construction details, number of units, occupancy, rental duration, and any short-term or seasonal use. Changes in use or vacancy can affect eligibility and policy terms, so disclose them promptly.

Compare building, contents, and liability terms

Review dwelling limits, other structures, landlord-owned furnishings or equipment, liability limits, deductibles, exclusions, and any loss-of-rents coverage terms. Ask what conditions must be met before benefits apply.

Keep the policy aligned as circumstances change

Tell the carrier or your advisor about renovations, a new lease arrangement, extended vacancy, or a change in ownership. Do not assume a homeowner policy automatically fits a rental. Availability, eligibility, and coverage depend on carrier underwriting and the issued policy.
